Hydrocyanicum Acidum 200 – Paralysis of heart and lungs feared, pulse lost, rattle; espe- cially in cholera and tetanus. Medorrhinum high – Sudden state of collapse with a sycotic history.
(See Agony – Euthanasia) PREVENTION of death may hinge on a previous set-up such as is used by many doctors. To be specific, Dr. Raymond Seidel advises that patients with heart problems keep Arnica Montana (10M) taped to or by the bed for immediate use. Under no condition should the patient attempt to go to bathroom – he may not make it there. Dr. Boericke’s “Materia Medica” Arnica reads, Angina Pectoris; pain especially severe in elbow of left arm. Stitches in heart. Pulse feeble and irregular. Cardiac dropsy with distressing dyspnoea (breathing). Extremities distended, feel bruised and sore. Fatty heart and enlarged heart hypertrophy”.
Dr. Seidel keeps smelling salts by his bed, as well as Aconitum Napellus (10M) and Cactus Gran- diflorus (10M). Usually he uses the Aconite first
(fear of death, etc.). Cactus is used for angina after Aconite where death is imminent. The smelling salt is kept away from the homeopathic remedies. The author was successful in using Carbo Vegetabilis, (CM potency), one dose, in what was probably imminent death. Since the anal and renal sphincters were not functioning and the patient was diabetic, Naja Tripudians 60X was used at the same time. Carbo Vegetabilis has been called the “cropse reviver” by some. Naja, incidentally, is an excellent heart remedy; thus, it was probably the combination of these two remedies which pre-vented death. Spigelia (see Dr. Boericke’s “Materia Medica,”) may be of value along with Carbo Veg- etabilis. and Naja. Dr. Boericke’s “Materia Medica”, indicates that THREATENING HEART FAILURE in zymotic (caused by fermentation) and septic fevers call for Pyrogenium. Use high potencies – not too frequently unless the situation is extremely dangerous, in which case sitting by the bed, watching reactions and giving the remedy every 10-15 minutes may be required – back off in frequency as patient improves.
Dr. Bach’s famous “Rescue Remedy” has been
used successfully to stave off death.
